Oh gee, it's the eve of All Hallows' Eve. Let's jump into it right away. Makeup Revolution also released the Rainbow shadow palette for their Halloween 2019 collection. I am going to review it today and also show swatches.

The Makeup Revolution Rainbow shadow palette is a magnificent colorful palette, and goes great with its sister Haunted House palette. HH was warm neutral, while the Rainbow palette - you guessed - is rainbow themed. Surprisingly, it has a lot of colours that are new to my collection.

The packaging is also made out of tin, with a plastic insert and a gorgeous outer image.

Matte shades are domintaing the palette but they also included a handful of metallic and duochrome eyeshadows. Being either neons or pastels, the shadows have good pigmentation, but you might need to build up the yellow shades. They layer nicely, especially being yellow. They also apply better on the eyes than swatch on the hand.

Similarly to their Haunted House palette, the shadow formula is the same with almost wet metallic colours that pick up best with fingers. The brush doesn't pick them up as nicely as your fingertips would, or even a sponge tip applicator is great for the job. You are welcome to wet your brush too when applying the metallics.

The mattes go on like butter and blend really easily.

Just like here, the backside of the Makeup Revolution Rainbow palette has all the info you need. You get 18 x 1.1 grams of products for 10 GBP. It is cruelty-free and vegan. Lift the sticker on the back for even more info.

Some colours are marked as pressed pigments not intended for the eye area. It's a safety notice, certain pigments can stain the eye area, therefore they legally can't be marketed as eyeshadows. Don't be too afraid of them, unless you know that your eyes can't take certain pigments.

Again, apply these to a primer that you DON'T SET for the best performance and pigmentation, like you should with powder shadows. I have talked about this topic in this review.

Heavenly and Happy Ending are the duochrome shades in this Halloween palette.

All in all, I adore the colour picks for this fun palette, they even managed to make some shades I didn't own. If you like colours, definitely give this a try, and it also would be a great choice if you are a neutral lover but would like to experiment with fun shades. It is also possible to create nude looks using this palette, so it's the best of both worlds.

Check out the sister palette of this one, here is a review of the Haunted House palette.

Do you prefer colorful or neutral palettes?

I purchased the palette with my birthday money, so you could say it was a personal gift from my family.
