Manhattan Soft Rouge Lipsticks | Review + Lip Swatches

I am probably the only person who has never tried the Revlon lip butters. The lipsticks featured in today's post remind me of those, so I picked them up. Let's see how they work:

My favourite kind of lipsticks are usually in a slim lipbutter-like packaging. I've tried similar ones by Astor, but those are traditional lipsticks, not lip balms. Hungary lacks in balm-type lip products, we don't even have the Maybelline or L'Oreal equivalents.

These two lipsticks are a part of a limited edition by Manhattan. I bought them at the beginning of June. They are traditional lipsticks, not lipbalms. Usually, lip products in this type of slim packaging are very creamy and moisturising, and these are no exception. As the name says, they are very soft, hydrating and creamy.

If you own any of the Astor Shine Deluxe lipsticks, these are actually the same thing with a different brand name. They have the same kind of strong perfume scent that you can taste as well. I'm not too happy about it, but the creaminess of the lipsticks helps me to forget the scent.

The pigmentation is very good, you can see that on the lipswatches as well. They feel like a lipbalm with the pigmentation of a lipstick. The lasting power is about the same as any other regular lipstick's, you need to reapply them after eating.

As I mentioned, these are the exact same thing as the Astor Shine Deluxe lipsticks that are no longer available. Of course I'm happy that I've found a dupe! If you like soft and creamy lipsticks, try to hunt these down. You might want to smell them before buying them, just to make sure that you're okay with the scent.
